What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology encompasses the physical, emotional, and energetic components of health, that is, how our body's symptoms interplay with our emotional wellbeing and energy. It uses muscle testing to identify stress stored in the body.

Kinesiology uses muscles as monitors of stress and imbalance within the body and recognises that energy flows within the body not only relate to the muscles but to every tissue and organ that make the body a living and feeling being. It looks beyond physical symptoms and does not treat named diseases nor does it diagnose them. Kinesiology enables people to detect and correct various imbalances that may relate to stress, nutrition, learning problems, minor injuries and other issues they meet in their daily life. It is available to all ages of persons open to receiving it.

Each practitioner works in a unique way. Our Centre has two Kinesiologists, Li Lin and Jasmin.

Jasmin's style of Kinesiology is a combination of body work and talk therapy, where clients experience a holistic approach to their mind and body health. Clients see Jasmin for physical symptoms not yet resolved by traditional body-based therapies, or mental/emotional stress that hasn't been helped by traditional talk therapy alone. Jasmin creates a judgement-free and safe space where together with the client, they identify and process the unresolved subconscious stress underneath their physical or mental symptoms. The mind-body approach means that any changes made on a mental level are also shifted in the body, and vice versa. Sessions are mostly conducted on the therapy bed, fully clothed, whereby clients can chat with Jas whilst she provides nervous system toning body work. Jasmin also works through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to support the process of bringing the body back to balance.
