Kellie graduated from the Nature Care College of Traditional Medicine in 1992 completing diplomas of Naturopathy, Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, Homoeopathy and Remedial Massage. In 2004 Kellie also completed a Bachelor of Health Science at Charles Sturt University.

Kellie has taught nutrition at the Australasian college of Natural Therapies in Sydney and worked as a Naturopathic and Remedial Massage Supervisor at the Nature Care College professional training clinic at St Leonards.

Her clinical experience includes treating those with immune disorders, digestive complaints, anxiety, stress, menopause and menstrual complaints. Since having a child of her own she also has a special interest in treating children and gives natural health talks to small groups of parents. (see Newsletter) Kellie has also worked extensively with patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Helen McGuire Dip Adv Hom (Syd) MAHA

Helen McGuire is a registered homeopath. A graduate of the Sydney College of Homeopathic Medicine. She also undertook postgraduate study in Dr Parimal Banerji’s Advanced Homeopathy, and spent some time at his clinics in Kolkata, India. Helen also works out of the Providence Clinic based at the Illawarra Women’s Health Centre in Warilla.

Karen Hardie Dip Massage Therapy

Karen is an experienced Massage Therapist who has also completed studies in other natural health related areas. Having originally completed her massage training in 1995 she established and maintained a successful practice in southern Sydney. She has also taught the Pregnancy Massage and Infant Massage modules at TAFE for a number of years. In addition she is currently studying Cranial Sacral Therapy at the Cranial-Sacral Institute of South Australia.

Jane Handley

Jane has been practicing as a Clinical Psychologist since 2001 and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She has worked for 8 years at Child and Adolescence Mental Health Clinic in Wollongong, the Royal Blind Society and many years in Private Practice working with adults, children, families and couples.

Jane has experience in working with those with serious mental illness, depression, anxiety and those with relationship difficulties.

Jane is available at the centre on Monday, Tuesday and Fridays from 8.30am to 6.30pm. Medibank Rebates are available.

Mark is a clinical Psychologist, trained at the University of NSW (1985-91) and Macquarie University (1994-96) as well as further studies through the British Psychological Society (1997-1998). Mark has worked for 20 years across a range of adult and child, adolescent and family settings in Australia and the UK.

Mark currently works 2 days privately as well as 3 days teaching on the clinical psychology training program at the University of Wollongong.

Mark used cognitive-behavioral , systemic and mindfulness-based approaches.

Hugh Churchward RN Dip.S.Psych

Hugh qualified as a Registered Nurse from the Francis Harrison College of Nursing (Surrey, UK) in 1995. Since that time he has worked mainly in the fields of Oncology, Haematology and Palliative Care.

In 2003 after a further five years of study he graduated from the College for Experiential Psychotherapy learning from the pioneers of Somatic Psychotherapy in Australia. Since then he has worked in private practice as a Somatic Psychotherapist and has continued to use these skills in the clinical setting within hospitals. He makes use of psychodynamic and somatic psychotherapeutic principles in combination with mindful awareness to support his clients and assist them in finding the means to develop more mental stability, greater emotional resilience and stronger relationships.

Hugh has experience working with those with serious mental illness, depression, anxiety and those experiencing bereavement and loss.
