There are often periods of our life where we feel we need support, from someone other than our family or friends. There are all sorts of reasons you might want to speak with a Counsellor, whether you are anxious or worried about your circumstances, others, the future, feeling sad, confused, grieving, having relationship problems with family, friends or in the workplace, or are suffering from mental illness.
During counselling, or talking therapies, a trained therapist listens to you and helps you find your own answers to problems, without judging you. The therapist will give you time to talk, cry, shout or just think. It’s an opportunity to look at your problems in a different way with someone who will respect and encourage your opinions and the decisions you make.
As with all therapies, there are many different approaches that can be used and at our centre we have experienced therapists from a range of backgrounds who can help those seeking counselling. Please feel free to speak with any of our practitioners before you make an appointment. Alison Rowe is a Psychologist, Kathryn Littleton practises Couple and Family Therapy, Hugh Churchward is a Somatic Psychotherapist.
